It was actually Erin and I that came across it while we were out taking pictures down by the waterfront. It wouldn't cooperate for us and come out into the sun.
Ok, I'm totally deflated. I cannot believe he let you get that close. It's a great shot even with the shadows.
It's so weird, I think I've only seen two herons in like 5 years and it happened to be right after you were looking for one.
