I had to go look to see what was blooming after Tara posted her lilies. These were totally taken the other day, not to one up your clematis, definitely, definitely NOT!

Echinacea
This is weird.... because theses jackamanaii clematis have always had 4 petals, and this year some of them have come out with 5. It's just the strangest thing. I like them! 5 is a much more balanced looking flower.

Wow. That's what I'm hoping for in a few years.
So lovely. My neighbors and I have been feeling kinda' blue because last week's storm destroyed most of our flowers. That means no more color until next spring. I'll just pop in here for a dose of beauty now-and-then. :)
